The annual driver meeting will be held one week before the parade to review safety tips, and critical areas on the route. All drivers MUST attend to pull a float in the parade.

About the event
All Drivers MUST attend the safety meeting to pull a float in the parade.
Drivers will be notified of the time to arrive at the float den on Parade Day where they will hook up to their assigned float and line up to transport the float to the Ike Hamilton Expo for final staging. The floats will be escorted in three waves by Law Enforcement to the Ike and later to Natchitoches Street. Marching units will join the parade on Natchitoches Street. We move from the Ike to Natchitoches Street at 3pm sharp.
Law Enforcement will breathalyze ALL drivers before and after the parade! NO ALCOHOL! It's too dangerous to riders and spectators.
Each driver will be given 2 cases of beads for their riders in the vehicle. The driver should not throw beads, since he will be busy paying attention to the parade.
